The European Mobility Week is the most widespread event to raise awareness of sustainable mobility.
The aim of the campaign, which runs from 16 to 22 September every year, is to encourage European local authorities to introduce and promote sustainable transport measures and to invite their citizens to try out alternatives to car use.
The campaign bears the slogan "Do the Right Mix. Choose. Change. Combine." - encouraging the use of different modes of transport to complete a journey.
Currently more than 1600 local governments from 42 countries have registered their participation online and are carrying out activities celebrating this year’s theme of multimodality.
